Edward looked up as the shuttle approached the station and smiled as he saw the Majestic. " Well there's our new home, and she's a beauty indeed. " He looked to the twins. And our quarters will be larger as well, So we'll all have a bit more space to move around in. "

He touched Anja's hand and looked at his bride adoringly. " I've got confirmation on my PaDD that our luggage has arrived and is in our quarters. So if you'd go and check in our our quarters,, I'll go and check the both of us in with the Captain. And after that we'll take a family walk around the ship and get to know it and find a bite to eat, After our trip I think we're all a bit hungry."

Edward took the near by turbolift to the Bridge. He stepped off on to the Bridge. " Permission to come onto the Bridge Lieutenant JG Edward Teach reporting for duty and permission to check in with the Captain."

" Granted. " Came the response from the watch officer.

Edward stepped forward and chimed the door at the Captain's ready room and awaited a response.

"Enter!" Elijah called out. He was just signing off the last of his Padd's when the door chime sounded.

Edward stepped into the ready room and stood beside a chair near the desk. " Lieutenant JG Edward Teach reporting for duty Captain. I understand that you're in need of an assistant chief engineering officer. " He said as he held forth the PaDD with his transfer orders. "I've got my family settling into the quarters as we speak. My wife Anja will be reporting in as one of your new science officers, and the twins have a few more years of studying to do before testing and going to the academy. I am looking forward to serving this ship and crew Sir. "

Elijah pulled the padd over towards him to scan over the records. "Well w4e could use an Assistant Chief of Engineering. And this is perfect timing for your arrival."

" Well I'm glad to hear that captain, I'll do everything I can to keep this ship running smoothly and in top shape at all times. Every engineer knows if you treat your ship well, she'll always bring you home. Is there anything I should know about the department or meetings? I've been on ships or stations where we had meetings only once a week or only when it is needed to plan a mission. Every command staff is unique in the way they operate. "

Elijah leaned back in his chair to regard Lieutenant Teach. "Have a seat Lieutenant, then we can get into the meat of things." waiting for Edward to have a seat then he continued. "At the moment, we do meetings sporadically. It may not seem like a tightly run ship, however what goes on this ship works for the crew. You are stepping into a rather unusual situation. We are currently taking a small group of holo-sentients to where they can be with, their creator. We have the coordinates, and it led us to where we are now. Outside of DS-9. Welcome aboard Lieutenant. And you said you have a family?"

" Yes, I do have a family of a sorts. I met my wife during my last assignment, she had her twin siblings with her. Her parents were killed and she had no other family to ship the twins off to so she raised them herself while working. Daimon wants to be an engineer and Luiza wants to be a scientist, so we're doing our best to train them to go into the academy in the next two years. We've got our work cut out for us training them for their field of interest on top of their normal studies, but this is what they want and we'll do everything we can to help their dream of going into starfleet come true. After all the twins have been through, they still want to give back, explore and help others. " Edward stroked his beard as he continued to speak. " With your permission Captain, Anja and I would like to bring the twins into science and engineering during some of the slower times to give them some hands on training. "

Elijah mused over what Teach had requested. "With you being the assistant chief engineer, I am sure that can be accomodated. I'll ask the assistant chief of science if she would be willing for that to happen as well. You've got a good heart there Lieutenant Teach. I do have a question or two to ask of you. What would be your thoughts in regards to sentient holographic people?"

Edward sat back in the chair and crossed his arms and then stroked his beard. " There's a question I've never been asked before. " He chewed over the question in his mind for a moment or three. " Well to be honest with you, I'd be like any other engineer and want to know what makes them tick. But since they're sentient, it would be rude just to start poking and prodding without their consent, I will admit the thought make me curious. Are you saying that we have such people aboard the ship? " He asked. " What kind of help do they need from us and when can I meet them? " He queried.

"We are currently being a sanctuary for them until we get to their new home. They helped us, well, they helped the crew and the previous CO get out of a tangled mess, due to an AI of a holographic run station they had been on during a shoreleave. I came onboard just after that event happened. Not only do we have them in a holosuite, we have a sort of animatronic dragon named Guardian, housed in one of our cargo bays. Guardian seems to have sentience a well. We're dealing with some ancient technology here." Elijah replied. "You will be needing clearance with the chief of security, though I will give you clearance as well. Just need to let Lieutenant S'vor know of your intentions."

" Aye Sir, I'll look into it right away. " Edward mused a moment. " I'm assuming that this Lieutenant S'vor is either science or engineering if he's working on this project. If I may have orders issued that I'm to assist from an engineering aspect, that would be helpful during the introductions. " Edward paused briefly. " You say that these people helped out the crew when they were in a bind? It would only be right to return the favor and give them a hand in return, fair is fair after all. "

"Lieutenant S'vor is the chief of Security. As for the holosentients, I do feel that we do owe them, in thanking them for their help. Otherwise, they would have died." Elijah giving a bit of a nod. "And it would have been a sad day indeed if that were to have happen."

" So what is our long term goal with the holo sentients? " Edward asked. Are we going to build them a new holo matrix to make them more comfortable? Or set up emitters around the ship with special armbands like they did on Voyager so that they may move around the ship freely? I'm sure engineering could whip up something like that if that's what you have in mind. "

"There won't be a long term goal for them to be on the ship. We're going to be taking them to a place where they can live. Just am waiting to find out the coordinates, I will say this, we will be going into the Gamma Quadrant, hence us stopping here for a day or so then we'll be going through the wormhole, to the Gamma Quadrant." Elijah responded.

Edward stroked his beard gently/ " The Gamma quadrant eh? Never been there before. Anja and the twins will be excited to hear that. You say we're waiting to decipher some coordinates? Is there anything we can do to assist them in that aspect? " He asked.

"Currently the ops personnel is working on that, however if you wish to meet Guardian, we'll get you the proper security clearance in order for that to happen."Elijah said pleasantly. "Also the science team who had enocuntered the sentient holo people as well as the dragon, are on the case as well. I also believe that you'll be wanting to meet the holo-sentients as well."

Edwards eyebrow lifted. " A dragon as well? This is getting better and better, I'd love to be able to meet with them. If there is anything I can do to help them out or be able to help them get to they're home, then I'm up for doing the neighborly thing and assist them. "


Elijah nodded."Well you may get the chance to meet Guardian. For now though get yourself settled in we'll talk more later. I suggest that you also get to know the people in operations as well. Lieutenant Carberos chief of operations would be a good start there."

" Aye Sir!! I shall do that. " Responded Edward. " I'll get with him tomorrow after my duty shift. For right now I should return to my quarters and help my wife and kids get the area situated and set up. Can't have my wife thinking that I've popped off down to the pub with the boys to catch a pint or two when there's work to be done. " He chuckled softly. " Thanks again for taking the time to meet with me Captain. "

"You are welcome, enjoy your evening." Elijah responded with a smile. "Oh the lovely ladies who keep us in line right and good night."
