Personal History Isabella Torres was born in New York City, New York, Earth, to Edgar and Marisol Torres. She was the second child, but first daughter in the family, having an older brother, Alejandro, and a younger brother, Jairo. Always feeling in the shadow of her brothers, Isabella spent a good many years as a tom boy, matching their antics. Due to her ability to think rationally while being empathetic, Isabella excelled in school, surrounding herself with many close friends.

At the age of seventeen, Isabella graduated high school. With a head full of ideas, she considered her graduation an exciting time. Applying secretly for Starfleet, Isabella secretly hoped it would provide her an escape from a mundane existence. Her family was very traditional, expecting her to marry and settle down after attending the local college. She was accepted with her first application. Her parents were neither happy nor excited to learn about her life choice, but saw her away to the Academy with the expectation that she would soon return home.

While in San Francisco, Isabella learned a lot about Starfleet life and herself. Taking a track in Engineering first, she soon found a no purpose there. Deciding that her required classes in psychology were far more interesting, she altered her track mid-freshman year to Psychology.

In her third year, Isabella struggled through the basic Security courses, specifically hand-to-hand combat tactics, but with the help of her roommate and her 'nose to the grindstone' attitude, Isabella soon found herself excelling in those courses as well. Truth be told, she was more than a little intimidated at first, but she came to find the classes enjoyable. Isabella graduated after four years, near the top of her class and with honors.

With her departure from Starfleet Academy, Isabella accepted duty aboard a Sovereign class, the USS Alamo. It was her choice to join a large ship where she hoped to blend into the hundreds of faces. Unfortunately her quick thought processes and ability to solve problems effectively, singled her out.

The ability to blend in was soon overshadowed by her assignment as the Chief Counselor's assistant aboard the much smaller USS Hibernia. During her time serving with Lieutenant Golash, a surly Tellarite, Isabella learned much about counseling from a different perspective. Golash was often crude, but nearly as often correct in his assessments.

After two years, Isabella accepted an offer to be Chief Counselor of the USS Cross, a ship that never seemed to gain momentum out of space dock. Though she did meet her future husband aboard the ship. After several months of locking horns, the two developed a respectful relationship which blossomed into a romance. That romance further developed into marriage.

As the USS Cross stalled, Isabella reconsidered her options and decided on a lateral move to the USS Majestic. Her husband, a Starfleet captain, could not make the same lateral move however, as a new commanding officer had already been chosen to lead Majestic. In a moment of impulse, and after several difficult years as a commanding officer himself, Joshua Hart resigned his commission to join his wife on the Majestic.

Together, they hope to build their small family aboard the USS Majestic.
