Welcome to the USS Majestic!

The USS Majestic is a Majestic Class starship proudly serving in Obsidian Fleet's 72C Task Group in the year 2395. If you’re looking for the newest, fanciest, fastest ship in the fleet . . . you’ve come to the wrong place. Our ship has been around the block a few times, much like the people who fly her. Having undergone a recent refit she’s once again ready to explore the universe and we’d like you to come along! Join Commander Jane Saulitis and her crew as we explore the universe and the depths of our souls!

"Within all of us is a varying amount of space lint and star dust, the residue from our creation. Most are too busy to notice it, and it is stronger in some than others. It is strongest in those of us who fly and is responsible for an unconscious, subtle desire to slip into some wings and try for the elusive boundaries of our origin." — K O Eckland

Sim Updates
No updates worth mentioning. Once the mission concludes I'm going to talk to my webmaster about putting up awards on the manifest.

Crew Updates
We have one new crew member this month. Welcome Ensign O'Donnaghue who is playing our chief flight control officer! We hope you have fun with us. We lost no one this month. Awards and promotions will be done as we get closer to the end of the mission.

Open Positions include: Chief Strategic Operations Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Chief Science Officer

Story Elements
The Majestic is still adrift in space. Despite the good posting count a lot of them weren't mission related, which is fine because I know a lot of people were traveling and busy with the holidays. I'd like to wrap up this part of the mission soon though so we can move on to part three and the conclusion which is much more interesting in my humble opinion!

Other Information
Just wanted to say I'm really pleased with the post count this month. Despite the month being a busy one for holidays we still managed to have a good count with some interesting posts! Thanks, you guys (and gals) are awesome!

USS Majestic – November 27, 2018
Task Force 72, Task Group 72C

Sim Updates
We've (or I Should say she, that is my webmaster) has updated a couple of the images, putting an image in our resource tab and also a different image under Majestic on the website. They look great! Couldn't get along without her help as I'm fairly hopeless at this sort of thing.

Crew Updates
No one left and no one joined us. There should be a promotion soon, check back for updates! I just want to move a little further into the mission before that happens. I do plan on handing out a couple of awards at the end of the mission, best post etc. I also have a little contest going to see who can write the most number of posts with the word 'run' in the title. Just for fun as our mission is titled Run Afoul.

Story Elements
The Majestic is currently dead in space. An explosion in Engineering has taken any propulsion offline. We are currently investigating and making repairs. This post will be out before the end of the month and we can continue to find clues as to what happened.

USS Majestic – October 29, 2018
Task Force 72, Task Group 72C

Sim Updates
The websites been running like well oiled machine thanks to my webmaster. I do plan on adding some new images to it, I even dreamed about such last night! But I still haven't gotten to that yet.

Crew Updates
We have added a player this month. We've been joined by a good friend of mine who has taken the Security investigations position. I confess it wasn't a position I had ever taken an interest in but after he inquired about it we both looked into it and I'm sorry that I haven't discovered it until now because it seems so interesting. A Ferengi security investigations officer no less.

Open Positions:

Flight Control
Strategic Operations
Chief Operations Officer
Chief Science Officer
Chief Diplomatic Officer

Story Elements
Things have slowed down a little bit, it didn't help that I was gone for a week out of state so I was preparing for the trip and then actually gone for seven days.

The Majestic is currently traveling without her warp engines due to a mysterious malfunction. Our Chief Engineer has assured us the delay will only be a couple of days but it will push back our arrival at Bairl for the 100 Years of Peace Ceremony. In the meantime the crew can get to know one another since we are all fairly new. Making new friends never hurt anyone right? ????

A couple of us are doing a Halloween post to torture an NPC of mine, but we aren't doing anything ship wide for the holiday.

USS Majestic – September 29, 2018
Task Force 72, Task Group 72C

Sim Updates
No updates to speak of for the website (it has been running well) or to the ship.

Crew Updates
We lost one crew member who felt his character did not fit in well with the ship, but we wish him the best in finding a new home!

We're currently looking for someone to fill Chief of Operations and Chief Of Science.

The only promotion was Lieutenant Commander Saulitis to Commander upon completion of Command Academy.

Story Elements
After our welcoming banquet Ambassador Vayr is currently making his rounds and trying to befriend the crew despite a little avian prejudice. We will be leaving shortly for the planet Bairl and the peace celebration . . . if we make it.

This story sees the introduction of a few well placed NPC's which a few member of the crew have volunteered to write. It should be fun!

Other Information
The crew has been plowing right through posts, I'm pleased with their enthusiasm. I hope to introduce a new crew member shortly once the details of his character are fleshed out.

Sim Updates
Everything is new! The site didn't exist last month (at least as anything other than a shell). Most recently I added a resource page with helpful links, a link to our discord channel and a mission statement for our upcoming mission. I'm continuing to make improvements to it but it's slow going as I'm new to website design.

Crew Updates
We have nine players on the sim now and they are all new:
Lieutenant Commander Shev Th'aziavak- Executive Officer
Lieutenant Angus Murphy- Second Officer and Chief Engineer
Master Chief Petty Officer Benjamin Fisher- Command Master Chief
Lieutenant Jexasi Rai- Chief Security/Tactical Officer
Petty Officer 2nd Class Renner Tycho- Damage Control Specialist
Lieutenant JG Sandra Adamson- Chief Medical Officer
Lieutenant Isabella Torres- Chief Counselor
Lieutenant Commander Lhaes Sommers- Chief Intelligence Officer

We could use a Chief Science Officer and a Chief Operations Officer

Story Elements:
Right now we are just doing a meet and greet because I still have to graduate command academy. But as soon as that is complete we will start our first mission, a diplomatic escort of the Creoli ambassador to his home planet for a celebration of 100 years of peace between the Creoli and their ground dwelling cousins the Mavill.

Other Information:
I just wanted to thank everyone in my crew for making things awesome so far! Especially Lieutenant Murphy and Commander Th'aziavak for listening to my endless ideas and offering their suggestions and to Lieutenant Rai without whom I wouldn't be doing this at all!

Jane caught up to Murphy in the corridor outside deck ten. "How are you Lieutenant?" She'd heard a few rumors that he'd been a little more vocal with his grumpiness than usual. No doubt it was stress over trying to discover who had damaged the ship, not to mention feeling…
