While the lounge was being worked up, Tarria booked a room down in the hotel. The hotel had two beautiful pools. One indoors and one outdoors. She put on her sunglasses as she had tied up her white hair. She was wearing a pink tankini, yellow slippers. As she walked through the hallways in the direction of the pool. When she saw Shev exiting one of the room.
She took off her sunglasses. "Commander, what a pleasure to see you here. Are you coming to the pool as well?" She asked.
"Tarria, hello!" He said. The Andorian was dressed in black and red trunks and a "Starfleet Academy" shirt with green sandals. "Yeah. I need it a little bit. Get mobile." He chuckled.
"Oh no, were you immobilized in your readyroom?" Tarria asked. "We should do something about that." She walked alongside him to the pool. She ignored his choice of clothing. But on the inside she giggled a little at that. As they got to the pool, she looked up a lounge chair and dropped her towel on it and her slippers under the chair.
Then she walked to the edge of the pool and dipped her foot in it. She sighed. "What I wouldn't do for a bit of cold."
"Twisted my ankle running aboard the ship. Something low impact will do me good." Shev replied, taking his Academy shirt off and dipping his foot in the water sans sandals. "Definitely warmer than home. But not too bad."
"Let's get in then." She took his hand as she let herself fall in to the pool, pulling him along. Under water she let him go and swam back up. She laughed as she got up. She looked around. "Shev? Commander?"
Shev bobbed up, shaking excess water off his head "Behind you."
Tarria turned around. "Oh good..."
Shev promptly sent a big splash her way. "Now we're even" he laughed.
Tarria laughed as she rubbed her eyes. Then she swam around him. "This is nice," she said. "I used to do this at home a lot. Home for me was the Federation New Holland colony. I lost my parents when I was younger. My mother was Aenar. She had a brother and sister. I met them. I should visit them again. she looked away in thought, remembering the time she spend with her uncle and aunt.
"I'll definitely see the Captain about it. Stop by Andoria sometime in the future." He offered before going underwater for a quick second.
"Daddy look! The blue lady is here too.." Liviana pointed to the water, tugging her reluctant father closer to the edge.
"Wheeeee!" Evaste cried out as she sprinted past them and bombshelled into the water. "Come on in, it's lovely!" She was of course gesturing wildly to her twin sister, knowing full well her brother wasn't anywhere near knowing how to swim.
Tarria saw the two kids and laughed. "Oh yes, the blue lady is here. Hello, young ladies. Have you come to swim. The blue lady is not alone today." As Shev came up she said, "Look, there is also a blue mister."
Evaste paddled up to give her a hug, staring openly at the blue skinned male. "Are you two a couple?" she asked innocently.
Shev couldn't help but smile. He didn't know how to answer that. "In a way." He said. "I'm Shev. What's your name?"
"in a way? How can you be together, in a way?" the child asked innocently.
From the shore, Lhaes looked on, trying hard not to choke with laughter. "That's quite enough Evaste, leave them alone."
The girl shrugged. "I'm Evaste, that's my sister Liviana, and my brother Galan." She reckoned her father needed no introduction.
Tarria laughed. And gave a little push to Shev before she turned to Evaste. "Evaste, we're not exactly a couple, but we are very good friends." She quickly changed the subject. "So what have you been doing on the planet with your father?"
Shev couldn't help but smile as Tarria pushed him. Kids. I love it he thought as he swam a little bit.
"We've been visiting playgrounds and today the pool though daddy won't come in," one of the girls elaborated, clinging to the Andorian now to keep herself up. "You can swim right? Daddy can't swim, he never goes in with us."
"Yes," Tarria replied. "I have done a lot of swimming when I was your age. Oh Shev, did you went ice swimming. Trust me kids, unless you're an Andorian you wouldn't understand. But Ice swimming is like normal swimming, just really cold."
"Sure is."Shev smiled. "I have a holodeck program of a place back home. You'd all be welcome." He offered. "Maybe even get your daddy in on the fun."
"I don't think he will," Liviana confided to him, "he's afraid of water. He never ever goes in with us. He doesn't even get wet. Ever."
Tarria was in thought. "I will have a word with your father about his fobia about water." She said. "But not now. Lets go have some fun."
The girls giggled, while their father looked on with a frown on his face. This wasn't a conversation he was going to be looking forward to.
Tarria thought a moment. "Do you girls have a ball? I think I forgot mine. We can play a little catch in the water." She suggested, looking over to Shev.
The girls shook their heads. "We forgot ours too..."
"I might in my bag. One second." Shev got out of the pool for a quick minute. Rummaging through a duffel he retrieved a medium sized blue ball. "This work?"
The girls squealed in delight. "Yes!" they cried in unison.
