Timeline: MD-6 Immediately after 'The Long Nap'

[Sickbay]

Sekat instantly busied himself with his patient, stabilizing him on the bed. "And now we wait for him to wake up," he said after a few minutes. "I could give him a stimulant but it is better for him to find his own way back to consciousness."

Danny lay motionless on the bed as a nurse applied a dermal regenerator to the wound on his head. For a split second she thought she saw a twitch in his face, which was unusual. But there it was again, he was definitely reacting to stimulus.
"Doctor!" the nurse alerted.

Sekat turned to face his patient. "Ahh... there you are..." The Vucan reached out to rest a hand on his patient's shoulder. "Easy does it... let yourself come back to awareness, adjust yourself a moment. Can you tell us your name?"

Danny's head was throbbing and what wasn't helping was the lighting cluster above the examination table beaming the equivalent luminosity of a small collapsed star into his eyeballs. He squinted his eyes to do his best at shielding them but it had a limited effect. Danny was trying to think of some quirky reply to the doctor's question but in the end decided that thinking too hard was making his head hurt more, "Daniel Lawless" he mumbled, "What happened?...My head...?"

"I do not know what happened Mister Lawless, but our intent is to help you in recovering that memory. I am going to help you sit up now." Sekat reached out, nodding towards a nurse to assist him from the other side. "My name is Sekat, and I am part of the medical staff here on the USS Majestic. Can you remember your position?"

Danny squinted and blinked, his vision was still blurry and the lights were not making it easy to focus on anything. "Err" Danny quoth "Assistant security chief." The Lieutenant shifted himself up the biobed and leant his wieght forward to sit up.

"Easy does it lieutenant," Sekat said as he caught the man and tried to push him back down. "You were out of it quite badly."

"I know my own limitations doc, I just can't stand looking at the ceiling anymore." Danny nursed the bump on his head as soon as he regained some balance, his vision was now somehwat clearer and not distored by having to squint so much.

Studying him, and the readings from the bed, Sekat nodded quietly. "As long as you do not experience nausea, you may remain sitting up. Is there anything you need?"

"All I need is some hydration, and some scran, im famished like ive not eaten in a week!" Lawless replied to the doctors recomendations. "Now do you intend to detain me here or can i go back to work?"

"Scran?" The Vulcan arched an eyebrow at his patient. "I am certain a nurse can bring you something to eat and drink. I would like to keep you for observation for a few more hours. If you keep improving, you may return to your duties tomorrow morning."

Daniel leant back in frustration, the one thing he hated more than anything was having to wait around. He sighed as he rolled his eyes back and began to feel sorry for him self.
