Joining the Majestic

Location: Transport Pure Dawn, USS Majestic

ON

CPO M'Jart S'Rem took her seat aboard the civilian transport Pure Dawn.

A flight steward approached her and asked. "Ma'am, can I take those from you? indicating her bladed weapons.

"No, you may only take my N'Zhara, if you can prise them from my cold dead hands." She replied.

"That won't be necessary." The Steward said fear evident in his voice. "You may keep them, ma'am." He then left to attend to someone who was hopefully less fear inducing.

As he made his way back down the aisle, a large raised claw-like hand caught his attention. Approaching it, he found its owner to be a large Gorn.

"Can I please have a glass of iced water?" The Gorn asked.

"Yes, of course." He said taking one from the drinks trolley and handing it over.

"Thank you." The Gorn whose name was Zirra Kajat said.

"You're welcome." the Steward said fear evident in his voice again.

He made his way to the back of the transport as quickly as he could and almost hyperventilating began to question his choice of career.

Later

"Ladies, gentleman and other sentient beings, this is your Captain speaking. We are now docking at Langley Station. All passengers disembarking at this stop, please congregate at the airlock. Thank you."

M'Jart and Zirra among others made their way to the airlock.

Soon the airlock door opened and they moved through onto the station.

They were met by a customs officer. "May I see your identification?" He asked.

M'Jart handed him a PADD which he skimmed and handed back. "Chief S'Rem welcome to Langley Station, the USS Outlander is awaiting you in Berth 4, to transport you to the USS Majestic. Safe travels."

"Thank you, Petty Officer." She said and headed to her required Berth.

"Petty Officer Kajat, welcome to Langley Station, the USS Outlander is also awaiting you in Berth 4, to transport you to the USS Majestic. Safe travels." He said.

"Thank you, Petty Officer." Zirra said giving him a toothy grin, before running to catch up with M'Jart.

"Chief S'Rem!" She called.

M'Jart turned and asked her. "What can I do for you, Petty Officer?"

"My name is Zirra Kajat, I've been assigned to the USS Majestic, like yourself." She said.

"And I take it you wish to accompany me?" M'Jart asked.

"If that is okay with you." Zirra said.

"I see no reason to object." M'Jart said. "You may join me, Petty Officer Kajat."

Zirra sat down.

"You know they fear you?" M'Jart said.

"Indeed, I do." Zirra said. "But I also know that I am quite imposing, especially to those not used to interacting with my kind." She added. "But, I'm not the only one, you got some suspicious looks too."

"For most I am an unknown, they are not sure with to fear me or not." M'Jart said.

"We make a fine pair, don't we?" Zirra asked.

"I can agree to that." M'Jart replied.

Later

The USS Outlander docked with the USS Majestic.

As M'Jart and Zirra made their way to the airlock they were met by the Outlander's CO. "Thank you, Chief, Petty Officer for lending a hand." Captain Fern Teller said.

"It was a pleasure, Captain." M'Jart said.

Teller smiled. "Good luck in your feature endeavours, Ladies." She said.

"You too, ma'am." Zirra said.

The two NCOs then walked through the Airlock to their new assignment.

On the Majestic, Kajat smiled at the Security crewman on duty and nearly scared him to death as he saw her sharp pointed teeth.

"W-w-w-elcome aboard." He managed to stutter out.
