Wilfred opened his eyes the next morning and could feel Sadie pressed up against him. She still looked as if she were sleeping so he remained perfectly still and just watched her. The woman was absolutely perfect, from every hair on her head right down to her pinkie toes. He began to grin with a smile he didn't think anything could wipe from his face.
Feeling slight movement beside her, Sadie opened her eyes and snuggled a little closer. "Did you sleep alright?" She asked as she smiled up at him. "You look happy."
"Best moment of my life, ever. This . . . here with you right now. So yeah, I'm happy. I slept great. Did you?" He simply stared at her, taking in all of her features but didn't try to reach out and touch her again other than his arm draped around her waist.
"Oh yes." She snuggled closer, reaching up to twirl her fingers through his hair. "And you did wear me out." She smiled brightly as she shifted. "We do need to get up soon, though I'm sure we still have a few minutes. What time does your shift start?"
"I'm off today. I can blissfully never move from this spot. But if you have to, I'll make you some breakfast? Would you like that?"
"Yes I'd love breakfast, and I do have some time just not too much. An hour at most probably. But I can come back after shift, or you can come to me if you like?" She kissed his cheek before sliding out of bed. "Mind if I use your shower?"
"No," For a moment Wilfred thought about what she'd do if he got in the shower with her but decided against it since she only had a brief time and he needed to get breakfast started. He was thinking maybe some croissants and fresh fruit as he climbed out of bed and put on a couple of articles of clothing before wandering into the main part of the quarters.
It took only a few minutes for the nurse to shower and get dressed, using his replicator to get a clean uniform since she had nothing but her night gown with her, and her robe. Neither were very suitable to appear for duty in. She was in the process of braiding up her long hair again as she walked into his living area. "That smells awseome," she said as she slid into a chair.
"Good. What would you like to drink?" He set breakfast down on the table and waited for her answer.
"Tea would be lovely," she said, taking a look at all the food on the table. "You're spoiling me," she added, coiling the long braid up around her head and pinning it in place. "how does this look? Does it sit right?"
"Beautiful," He assured her. "And tea it is, your wish is my command," he half heartily joked. Setting a cup and saucer of tea in front of her he also replicated some milk, sugar and honey since he didn't know her preferences for tea. This was going to be the first meal they'd ever shared together.
"Oh just some honey will be fine," the woman smiled, reaching for the liquid gold. "Aren't you going to have anything? And seriously...my wish is not your command. I'm not the boss of you love." She sipped the tea, closing her eyes for a moment. "So you'll come to see me after shift? I'll set the door to open for you, just in case."
"I know I just fully intend to sweep you off your feet, I'm a bit of a romantic at heart." He said, his face coloring slightly. "And yes I'll join you and meet you in your quarters after your shift." Wilfred sat down and took a little of everything for breakfast though he preferred coffee as his morning beverage.
"There's nothing wrong with being a romantic." Her eyes sparkled happily as she studied him. "I finish around three, or should do anyway. Sickbay is crazy lately. Just to be safe, come meet me at four." She quietly ate her breakfast and when she was done she cleared away her plate and went to kiss him. "I need to go," she added apologetically, "however much I want to stay and skip.. I don't think the boss will appreciate that."
"Yeah," he gave her a small smile. "It's only a matter of hours. I understand. Have a good day!" He said enthusiastically. "I'll just clean up and do some stuff around here, maybe go for a walk. I found this bottle of alcohol and I'd like to return it to the person."
Sadie nodded, drawing her arms around him. "Try an have some fun too?" She suggested playfully. "I'll see you in a few hours. Miss you already."
He blushed and chuckled. "I will, don't worry about me. You know what a party animal I am." He joked, kissing her gently on the lips. "Have a good day at work!" He reluctantly let her go still a bit shocked at what had happened to him in the last 10 hours.
At the door, Sadie peeked back in, smiled and waved. "Later!" she called over her shoulder. There was a definite bounce in her step as she walked towards sickbay.
