Forming A Plan

K'Mitt stood outside the COs ready room, three data disks in hand. Three movie selections that he thought she would enjoy. Grinning he rang the chime.
"Come in," Jane called. She'd been reading over new crew member profiles and she had to admit it was rather boring. It was certainly important but one could never really tell what a person was like from a PADD in front of them. You had to meet and talk with them, get to know them. There was never enough time for that for a starship Captain and therefore she learned what she could . . . . just in case she ever had to write that letter home.
K'mitt saw the CO buried in pads and winced. "Oh Captain. Were you busy?" He mentally kicked himself. "I'm sorry. That was a stupid question." He held up the discs. "But I brought a few movie choices."
"Oh you're fine, I needed a break anyway, I was about to fall asleep." Jane blinked for a moment before she realized what else he'd said. "Oh? What are the choices?" She wondered how long the list would be.
"Well. I figured a comedy would be a good choice so I picked out Operation Petticoat with Cary Grant. Second a classic, Casablanca. And third a western True Grit." The caitian said.
Jane sat thoughtful for a moment, she new if the crew picked themselves they would probably go with the western and who didn't like a good comedy, that was also something she thought the crew would enjoy so instead of choosing those two she picked the middle one. "Casablanca. Because the crew needs something to torture them once in a while." She smiled genuinely at K'mitt.
"Sounds good to me." Kmitt said. "Come to think of it we quoted Casablanca when we first met." He grinned. "Looking forward to it."
"Me too. I'll make the announcement and make sure everyone is there. I bet Min would greatly enjoy it as well, I don't know her background on watching movies . . . I wonder if this particular movie might be a little scary for her? I think I'll ask Commander Murphy what he thinks."
"Sounds good. I'll get a space ready. Holodeck 2. sound good?" Kmitt asked.
Jane was about to say yes but then she started thinking. "Actually . . . if we're going to make this a regular occurrence, why don't we set aside a space for it? A permanent space? I could get Commander Murphy to work on it. What do you think?"
"Even better." He sort of smiled. "Better idea than mine at least. "
"Good, I'll come up with something and let you know. But honestly, this is your thing so I'll let you plan things. I'll stop at the space, I promise." she smiled as she stood up. "Thank you Mr. K'mitt. I think this is going to be a success."
"I'm definitely looking forward to it, Captain. " Kmitt said
