Kav was still settling in to the ship. It was full off energy and activity he could tell. Being the son of a Starfleet medical officer, he thought it was important to meet with his doctor first prior to meeting his captain. He walked in to sickbay and finding the room was brightly lid.

He looked around the room to see if anyone was in. He would imagine there were, as the lights were very obviously on. He then saw the Vulcan doctor. He walked up to him. "Lieutenant Junior Grade Kav," He said calmly, putting his hand behind his back. "I am here for my medical examination, doctor." He then looked around. "I was expecting a human female, to be honest. My transfer orders said I would meet a doctor Sandra Adamson."

Sekat nodded, turning towards the young man. "I am Doctor Sekat," he counter-introduced himself, "I am certain Doctor Adamson will be here shortly. Is this your first ship-bound assignment lieutenant?"

"It is, doctor," Kav replied.

It was then Sandy walked in. She saw the two Vulcan men. She put a smile on her face and walked over to them. "Hello, I am doctor Sandra Adamson." She looked to try and meet Kav's eyes.

Kav turned towards Sandy. "Yes, doctor, it is agreeable to meet you, I am Lieutenant Junior Grade Kav." He introduced himself. He didn't seem surprised by her approach. His mother taught him always be polite and give compliments. Vulcans never smiled, save a very few, like his father, so this was his only way to indulge the humans he served with.

"It's nice to meet you too, Kav," She held out her hand in jest.

Kav slowly accepted it and shook it. "I am here for my medical exam, doctor." He went right to it. He wasn't very good with social events and small talk.

Sandy looked to Sekat a moment and then back to him. "Of course you are," She said and took a medical tricorder from a nurse. "I see you have met Doctor Sekat. Are you two getting acquainted?" She asked to keep the conversation going as she started to scan him.

Kav looked a moment to Sekat. "I suppose we were," Kav said, "Before you interrupted our conversation."

"Oh, I'm sorry. Don't stop on my account." She said.

Sekat did smile, ever so slightly however, before turning back to Kav. "You were telling me about this being your first assignment on a ship. Where were you assigned before coming here?"

"I was assigned to the academy, ferrying cadets, admirals, captains. You would have thought the transporters were broken." His voice didn't suggested it, but he intended it to be sarcastic.

"Cadets are not supposed to transport themselves across the academy grounds," Sekat chuckled, "walking was highly encouraged however. And admirals, in my experience are just too lazy to move."

Kav tilted his head a little but made no notion of the chuckling Vulcan doctor and just continued talking, "Yes, that is also my experience. Even the Vulcan admirals, of whom you might suspect they are more sober in these matters, apparently like the luxury of a good shuttle ride."

"Or might see the logic of exercise," Sekat agreed, glancing sideways at Sandy to see how she was proceeding. "What kind of exercise do you engage in?"

Kav looked at the doctor's work. She was very skilled and then looked over to Sekat again. "I do a variety of exercises, but most of all I like to swim. What about yourself, Doctor?" He returned the question.

"I can swim but and it is one of the exercises I can perform under current circumstances however I do prefer horse riding. It is a sport I picked up while attending Starfleet medical."

"Well, then, doctor, maybe you can teach me how to ride a horse? I have never done that before," Said Kav.

"I am certain the holodeck will be able to accommodate us," Sekat agreed, "though I should inform you that I am not a skilled teacher. Bit yes we can certainly attempt it." He turned to his boss, not wanting to exclude her. "Would you like to come too Sandra?"

Sandy put her tricorder away. "I would love to. I haven't ridden a horse since I was in highschool." She then looked over to Kav. "Any physical complaints, lieutenant?"

Kav shook his head. "My mother is a doctor, my father a cook. They made sure I stay healthy. I still get letters from them if I stay healthy. One would be annoyed by now, but they are my parents, it is their job I suppose. As for your proposal for a horse ride on the holodeck, I am looking forward to it. Now if there is nothing else?"

Sandy shook her head. "You're fit for duty."

"Thank you, doctor." Kav nodded to Sekat. "Doctor." He then turned around an walked out of sickbay.

Sandy looked to Sekat. "Charming fellow. Vulcan at their finest I suppose."

"If I am any example...he is the perfect picture of a Vulcan I am certain," Sekat chuckled, "it could have been worse, could it not?" He cast her a genuine smile as he turned to put his instruments away.

She nodded. "I get the feeling he might be very Vulcan, but yet he seems very open minded."

"That he does," Sekat agreed, then flashed her one of his special smiles. "As long as he does not try to steal you away from me I will have no issues with him."

She walked up to him and leaned over and kissed his nose. "Never!" She whispered softly.
