Florence, Oregon (Home)

It was quite the send off party, Lily had ever experienced. She had healed up, got the green light to resume her duties. The whole clan had arrived, which included her two brothers who were in Star Fleet they had come home for some much needed leave. The party was lively, there were tearful goodbyes before most of the guests took their leave. Soon it was just Lily's immediate family, all reluctant to go to sleep just yet, just wanting to get the last few moments of time with the youngest of the family.

Noticing that Lily's eyelids were drooping, Vivian shooed everyone off to bed. Lily had to laugh at the antics.

"Awww mom, do we have to?" another one "Can't we stay up just a little bit longer?" "I've got dibs sleeping in Lily's room!" was another.

"Now hush, go to sleep, we will be seeing her off tomorrow." was her mother's reply.

Lily chuckled, feeling herself get misty-eyed, she was going to miss her family. She prepared for bed, crawled in under the covers.Just as her eyes were closing and she was drifting off to sleep, Lily heard her door open and some soft whispers. She opened one eye and looked over to where she saw her sisters.

"Sorry to disturb your beauty sleep, we just... we just.." her sisters stopped, Lily just moved over and patted her bed, and her older sisters piled in, Olivia on one side, Madeline on the other.

"You know, normally we'd be piling in Olivia's bed" Lily remarked drowsily with a laugh.

"Or Madeline's." Olivia added.

"Okay, then lets try to get some sleep. I have to leave in the morning." Lily snuggling back down under the covers.

It was not more than five minutes later when the sisters heard a soft knock on the door then the door opening quietly. At the same time, the three sisters raised up on their elbows to see who was there.

It was Stephen, Morgan and Derek, holding their pillows and blankets.

"Uh, hey sis, since it is your last night here..." Stephen began only to be interrupted by Lily, who just started to laugh.

"Okay, okay, make yourselves comfortable on the floor. Guess this is the last campout we'll be having together for awhile. Remember when we used to do this when we were younger?" Lily said.

There was a general laughter, a couple of pictures were taken, then everyone settled down, their breathing slowly going into that of slumber.

Lily's parents looked in on their brood, then closing the door and went to their room. Vivian sat on her bed, with her husband's arms about her, as she wept, her tears happy and also sad. Her family will be going their separate ways once more. Andrew held her close, shedding his own tears, for his baby girl was going away again, once more into danger.

Morning came, the siblings awoke with laughter at the bedhead hairdo's they sported. A jovial breakfast, the usual cleaning up after the meal, teasing involved, then it was time. A transport was coming to pick up Lily and her brothers.

Lily was crying as well as her mother and father, "You stay safe as best as you can." her father said.

"I will do my best." she replied.

"Lily, I still wish you would stay home and help me with the practice." Vivian said wistfully.

"I know, Mama, but I feel the call and know my destiny is elsewhere. Besides who know what discoveries I will make or herbs we've not seen here before." Lily giving her a hug.

"Oh and don't you three forget you goody kit bags." nodding her head to the midsized duffle bag and ruck sack.

"Goodness Mom, what did you pack in there?" Lily exclaimed lifting the both up.

"Oh just some things you may need and well some goodies that your dad and Olivia cooked up."

"And not too mention some fruit from Auntie's farm." Madeline piped up.

Lily and her brothers nodded. Last minute embraces, the transport arrived and the siblings were off. Arriving at their destination where they would be parting ways, both brothers said to Lily.

"Now don't forget what we've taught you, there is nothing wrong in fighting dirty when your life depends on it" Stephen said

"And don't forget to use your needles! If you get my point." Morgan stated, eliciting a groan from his siblings.

"Well, this is it, group hug!" Lily said and the three of them embraced, then separated, each going to their own docking area, to continue on towards their own destinations.

USS Majestic

It was a bit of a journey, but Lily was feeling her excitement mount as she was nearing her destination, the USS Majestic. Her eyes were wide when she drew near the ship that was to be her new home for the forseeable future. It indeed was fitting of its name, a majestic ship indeed. The captain was obliging to give her a fly around for her to get the full view. Then he docked his ship to unload Lily's belongings.

She had some cargo which could not be brought in by a transporter, well at the very least, that was how she felt. They were ointments, and herbs that she felt that being transported would disrupt their nature as well as the miniature roses she had cultivated. Also there was the fruit her sister and Aunt Corinna had given to her, apples, oranges, and lemons, that she didn't want them to be sent via a transporter either. The captain over saw the unloading and the crew of the cargo ship, saw to it that her items were deposited safely in the cargo bay, gave her a friendly nod of farewell and left.

Lily waved towards the ship and turned, looking around inside the cargo bay. Lily took out an apple, taking a bite, before she approached the nearby personnel who was in charge.

"Hello, would it be possible for my things to be stored somewhere until I find out where my quarters will be?" She asked with a smile.

"Certainly." was his answer with a nod.

"Oh by the way, would you like a piece of fruit? An apple or an orange... Wait, maybe not an apple, other wise it would keep me away." Lily quipped.

"Pardon?" the perplexed crewman answered.

"Oh you know, an apple a day keeps the doctor away." pointing towards her uniform which had the markings that of being in medical." she chuckled.

"I'll take an apple, but not to keep you away, its just that I like apples." he said with a smile reaching out for the offered piece of fruit.

Lily laughed, "Thank you, and another favor to ask, would you let someone know that I have arrived?I'm sure they all ready know but, its protocol."

He nodded and Lily stepped outside of the cargo bay, continuing to eat her apple while leaning against the wall, her mid-sized duffle bag which held her fruit, set upon the floor, to await whomever would be showing up to greet her.
