There were further items on her list of things to do, two of which she needed to go talk to the chief of operations about. She needed quarters to call her own, and a room separate from medical to set up for her massage therapy treatments. When doing massage therapy, there needed to be privacy, a place for those she was treating to be comfortable. Even though she wasn't against exploring the ship further, she needed to get in touch with Lieutenant Vannan.

Tapping her commbadge, Lily sent out a message, "Lieutenant Vannan, this is newly arrived CMO Lily Marlow, where can I meet you to talk about my quarters?"

Vannan was just doing some of the resupply requests when the Call came through; tapping her badge she replied.

=^= Lieutenant Marlow, Vannan here.=^= She changed the data in her Padd. =^= I suppose I should knock around one of the boys for not showing you to your quarters. =^= SHe said. =^= I can come down to you in Sick Bay , I am on another deck just give me a min to get to Deck 8 where you are. =^=

=^= "All right, I will be here waiting. And don't be too harsh with your people, I didn't give them time to show me my quarters, I wanted to see medical first off."=^= Lily answered, wondering just what the Chief of Ops was going to be like. So far she's met a rather interesting group of people.

Taking to the Jeffery Tubes Vannan slid down a ladder two decks before coming out on the appropriate level and walking to the Sick Bay.

"So where's the Wayward Doc?" Vannan asked with a smile when she entered the Sick Bay.

"Here I am!" Lily called out stepping into view with a smile. "you certainly got here quickly." giving the Chief OPS officer a wave of greeting, liking the energy level and spirit that seemed to radiate from Vannan. "Hopefully I'm not in trouble for ditching your people." a laugh in her voice.

"Not really." She came to meet the Doctor. "Several of them lose brain cells if they see what they think os a pretty girl or one that wears a skirted uniform, dress or even shorts." She shrugged. "But they are pretty good at the prep work." She glanced down at the PADD. "You did see then hauling thing..." She caught herself and looked up. "Rearranging the Storage with a SPace not yet allocated. I had them move one of your storage rooms over to an open slot so the..." Her eyes sparkled a bit. "Ohh... massage equipment." She smiled. "Yeap, the equipment will be in there soon."

Lily nodded grinning at Vannan when she mentioned the ops team. "Yes, massage equipment. Hopefully it will all fit in the room. I am hoping that it is large enough to not seem claustrophobic for my patients, but not too large to take away any needed space. I have some equipment that, I'm hoping to attach to the ceiling, they are parallel bars that I will be using for when I do Ashiatsu massage."

Vannan tilt her head and raised an eyebrow as though not quite on that page.

"Okay, it was a storage room you should have all the room you need for tables and such." Vannan replied. "It is unassigned so no loss."

"Ah, well Ashiastu is massaging with the feet, the parallel bars are used to help in that sort of massage, giving me balance and control of how much pressure I put on a person with my feet." she explained.

"Okay, will leave that one to you Doc." SHe shook her head and laughed. "My manners need polish, been in work mode too much." She extended a hand. "I am Nichelle but everyone calls me 'Gnat' for some crazy reason."

"Gnat... wait why are they calling you that unless they think you are fast and annoying."Lily actually frowned at that, then it disappeared. "I would rather call you Nichelle. and you can call me Lily." she laughed slightly, "I had been told that there is another Lily onboard, so that will make things interesting. "Accepting the hand to shake.

"I got the name in the Academy, it stuck and followed me all the way here." She mused. "Nicknames and reputation are faster than Warp Drive." SHe winked. "Come on Lily, we can check out your quarters as it will be a couple of hours for them to complete the transfers and rig the gear in your Massage room and I do not want to hinder the boys at work." SHe rolled her eyes. "Two 'Girls' in the way and all."

"Yup, those certainly do fly around. I tend to shut my ears when there is a rumor going around." Lily laughed, "And I've had to deal with my share of you are a pretty girl, what can you do?" giving a wry grimace at that memory. "I guess some of them have that mentality." giving a shrug.

"Say about my quarters, could I be lucky in having a small kitchenette in it? I love to cook and bake things." accompanying Nichelle out of Sickbay.

"That was another reason that I changed your quarters; you had put in a request so we did get that right." She smiled as they walk. "Your things were sent correctly so that is a perk."

"Oh yes!" giving a jump in the air and a fist pump."I wasn't certain if my request would be approved. I'm definitely going to give you the first batch of cookies that I make...What would be your favorite type?" turning to face Nichelle.

"Ohhh... Chorrac Rock." Vannan smiled and then though for a second. "Closest thing is Chocolate chip; if you use large chunk Chocolate." Vannan laughed.

"Ooh, then that is what I will make" Lily said with a smile. "Say, do you want an apple or orange or both? Those are from my Aunt's orchard, my older sister helps to run the place. Don't worry, they're good, thanks to having been shipped in stasis. The apples I've got are, golden delicious, red delicious, granny smith, and navel oranges." digging into her mid sized duffle bag.

"You have real fruit..." Vannan stopped. "Gimme the bag and step away slowly..." SHe winked. "One of each if that is not to greedy?" Laughing. "Pick an apple to start please."


Lily laughed, dug in and pulled out a red delicious apple, tossing it to Nichelle, "Here you go, and its not greedy if you want one of each." She pulled out a golden delicious and bit into it, munching on it on the way to her quarters. "You know, this is my first time being a Chief Medical Officer."

"That makesa two of us; well, I am Chief OPS." SHe wiped her head theatrically. "I thought I was the only Newbie Department chief." SHe took a bite of her apple, savoring the bite. "Nothing like Fresh Fruit." SHe was getting close to the quarters. "Speaking of which as a Chief I was able to get you a bigger Cabin, not family but largest SIngle I could arrange on this level close to Sick Bay." SHe snapped her fingers and the door opened. "Yes; I do that so the Boys don't get all tricks; had to reprogram a bit but managed." SHe tapped her PADD. "It is all yours." SHe gestured for Lily to enter.

Lily entered, her eyes widening. This was luxurious! "Oh wow! I didn't expect something so luxurious. Its beautiful! " walking around, feeling warm and fuzzy. "Wonder what the bathroom is like." Lily heading towards there.

"If I read report right you have the tub and shower option." Vannan said with a smile. If you wanted a kitchenette I thought a tub in order so I shuffled." SHe follow as fat as the back of the main room.

Her belongings were off to the side neatly arranged.

"Oh my heck! Okay, I feel like royalty right now!" Lily comes back to the main room. "Words just can't describe how I am feeling!" sitting down on a nearby chair, she looked at Nichelle, a shimmer of happy tears in her eyes. "Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough." she finally said.


"I aim to please, that is what Trogs do." Vannan winked. "Just invite me for the cookies and we call it even." SHe beamed. "Best part of th ejob; and not nearly enough, iws to put a smile on someone's face." SHe came over and smoothed her skirt as she sat. "Hey why didn't I get one this soft, I am the chief..." She fake pout. "Someone is going to be cleaning the Waste reclamation Processor." She then laughed. "You are welcome Doc, just enjoy it."


"Thanks, indeed I will enjoy it." looking at her new found friend. "You know, I'm feeling like we've been friends for a long time, and we've just met. Does that seem weird to you?"

For it was true, Nichelle reminded Lily of her best friend, Annabelle. Annabelle was as lively as Nichelle was and Lily liked that fact. When they first met, Annabelle announced right off that they were going to be the best of friends forever.

"I heard a Song Lyric on Earth some time ago." Vannan smiled. "There's not a word yet for old friends who just met..." She sang lightly. "I'm going to go back there some day... You really should call me Nichelle." She offered. *

"Nichelle it is, and call me, Lily. "she responded. "And you have a lovely voice." smiling.

"My Papa thought so." Vannan chuckled. "My siblings hated I could and they hit sour notes." SHe sigh. "This is comfortable but I should get back; Cat being away the mice do play." She winked. "See you soon Lil." She got up to leave.

Lily rose from her chair and walked Nichelle to the door. "Definitely see you soon!"
