Needing to talk

Lily was on her way to her quarters to get some shuteye, but couldn't sleep yet. She stopped at Sekat's door and pressed the chime. She didn't know if he were asleep or awake at this time. She looked down at herself, realizing that maybe she should have taken the time to take a shower before coming to talk to him. It was too late for her to take back her action. Therefore Lily stayed there, and hopefully Sekat would think her to not be too smelly.

"Come in." Sekat had actually just been about to get ready for bed too. He peered back into his living area, before deciding he might as well step out, pulling on a robe as he did so. "Lily.." He gave her a welcoming smile. "What brings you to my home at this time?"

"Well..." Lily paused for a moment, her brain slightly fuzzy. "Okay, I'm just needing to talk to someone who is logical and can hopefully give me some clarity of thought. There have been some developments on Adna station that are needing to be taken care of. A jammer is being taken care of by Murphy and Lhaes which is preventing us from communicating with the ship."

Lily swayed just a little bit, and leaned up against the wall near Sekat's door. Weariness is visible on her face.

"We've got some sentient holograms, who are helping us deal with Adna, and there are plans to download them and we can take them with us. They want to find their creator. And the one thing that I am hoping we can accomplish, is rescue someone who is in an apparatus which is keeping her alive. And then there is the fact we will be shutting Adna down. And... and.. all the crew members disappearing during shore leave, I don't know where they went to."

Lily could feel tears welling up and she stiffened. She didn't want to start crying, not until things were finished.

He could see she was exhausted, and he wasn't oblivious to the raging emotions that threatened to overwhelm her. Quietly, he took her by the arm and gently led her over to his comfortable chair, taking a seat on the couch himself. "I wish I had been there with you, and for you," he said softly, "but I was not. How do you mean, crewmembers were disappearing?" Unlike most of the crew, he had opted to remain on the ship during his leave.

"We were at a club, which turned into a nightmare dealing with vampires and zombies and werewolves. We were attacked and Commander Sommers, then Lily disappeared, and others just vanished, and it boiled down to just me, T'Par, Hawke, Sempton and Hannah which were left of the group that were in the club. We were met by some holopeople who had gained sentience and are part of a rebel group who are against Adna. Adna has gone insane, and the safety protocols are non existent."

"What happened before their disappearance?" Sekat asked, gently rubbing the palm of her hand with his thumb in the hope of calming her. "Are you meaning to say that you were in actual danger, while on the station?" That did worry him. He knew he had no real right to be worried, but here he was.

Lily started calming down, "They just disappeared, almost like a transporter activating, or even something quicker. But with how much was going on I didn't even think to do any readings." then she nodded as to his other question. "Yes, people were getting injured, Commander Sommers..." her hand began to tremble as she remembered, "He was attacked by a vampire, he saved me but... but.." she drew in a shaky breath. "He was almost completely drained. Then he just disappeared. I do know he is alive though."

"Then it is likely either Adna did not wish to kill anyone, or someone intervened before it really happened," Sekat mused, still gently rubbing the palm of her hand as it appeared to be working. "I am sorry I was not there to help you, or anyone. but I am here for you now..." He paused, watching her. "You were not harmed?" he asked, hoping the answer would be no.

"No, I've not been injured, just fatigued. Sempton was injured but not badly. He was really good in the situation we found ourselves in." She was feeling a bit more calmer. "I am wondering if someone had stepped in or even maybe Adna didn't want it I'm not at all certain. Though, Gwendolyn and Oz had mentioned that someone nicknamed Splice had been helping out where she could, that is the name of the person who is that strange device I incoherently spoke about. She needs to be found, and taken out of said device, if it is possible. She's been able to, in some way, link to some of the interfaces of the station. Adna has been on the hunt for Splice, but not finding her."

"Then the captain must do all in her power to find this Splice," Sekat agreed, "if she is responsible for saving your life and that of others, we must repay the favour in kind." He could see she was getting calmer, but he continued to rub the palm of her hand regardless. "I am relieved that you were not injured," he added awkwardly.

Lily smiled, "I am relieved as well." feeling her heart rate going down to a normal beat, she said to Sekat. "After some sleep, myself and others will be going back out to go find her and also retrieve the holograms who have helped us. One is the EMH, Gwendolyn and the other, I'm not certain what he is, but his name is Glowbug. Looks like a firefly, he's Gwendolyn's companion."

Lily started to yawn, "Excuse me, sorry for that." she then noticed Sekat was still massaging her palm. "Looks like you've been studying on acupressure points. It is helping a great deal. Thank you."

"It is the least I could do," Sekat answered with a small smile, "if you need any assistance I would be happy to help. Even if I am not fast on my feet, I can still be useful."

"Would you want to come help rescue the lady who has been helping us? I could use your help in that. The other three that were with me will be meeting up with me after we get a few hours of sleep. What do you say?"

"I do," Sekat answered, "I do not like to sit idle when there are people in need of assistance. Tell me what I need to do to help." He released her hand, sensing she had calmed considerably. "Are you alright now?" he asked quietly.

"Yes, I am better now, thank you." Lily smiling, "In a few hours meet us before at the entrance before going onto the Station." she rose from the couch, where they had been sitting. "I am rather relieved that you are wanting to come help."

"Are you?" He arched a single eyebrow at her. "Why is that?"

"Well, with your knowledge, your wisdom, your perception. You may think of something that I may not have thought of. And also you being my friend is another reason too. " Lily replied.

"I have been a medic most of my life Lily, but my perception may be limited. I have not been a Starfleet Officer for most of my career." He gave a quiet not. "But I shall gladly attend for moral support, as your friend."

Lily nodded her smile brilliant. "Oh good thank you. I will see you i a few hours then. And we can be done with this whole business." heading towards the door, she stopped and said, "Thank you once again, Sekat." then left.
