T'seng's eyes fluttered open, wondering where she was. She felt something warm against her back and an arm over her waist. At first she was confused thinking that she was still caught up in a dream, then realization hit her. She was with Sekat, in his quarters in his bed. She could feel her cheeks grow warm, as well as a sense of belonging. She moved enough to snuggle up against him a bit more. Then she couldn't help herself, she turned around to place a kiss upon his lips. Reaches up to caress his cheek. He was beautiful in her eyes. She stayed there, gazing at him, then closed her eyes once more, to just take in this moment, this perfect moment of being in his arms.

The movement woke him and he slowly opened his eyes. He could feel something at the back of his mind, a sense of love that filled a certain void. The sensation of the kiss lingered and he stayed very still, just watching her. After a few seconds, he reaches up to stroke back a strand of her silky hair, brushing the tip of her ear. "Beloved," he whispered softly, "how do you feel?"

"I feel whole." T'seng replied softly. "And you?" just beaming at where she was. "I will be staying here now as we are one. And you can help me with what I have been missing."

"I feel whole," he echoed, drawing his arms around her. "I will do anything for you," Sekat promised, "and yes, you will stay here. You are my mate, you belong with me and I with you. Now, and always." He sat up a little, drawing her gently up with him. "We do need to inform the captain, at some point. And probably my and your department head as well though I am not certain on protocol in that regard."

"I would be considered the Chief Diplomat on the ship, but we can speak to the Captain. He might be most interested in this development. And your department head, Sommers? He will be needed to be informed." T'seng replied. "Now though there maybe somethings to do? I won't have much to move in here with."

"Then we shall spend the morning moving your belongings, and making sure you are comfortable here. Entry to these quarters will also need to be arranged, so you can come and go as you please." He paused, gently caressing her cheek as he studied her. "Though for the moment, I am content just being here with you." Even if he probably did have duties to attend to. "What are your plans for later today?"

"I will be looking over reports as to who and where my services will be needed and also catching up on my schooling. I still have a bit of education that I need to update on. Other than that, get something to eat, with you?" giving a soft smile.

"Who will be overseeing your education?" Sekat asked curiously, "and of course we will have dinner together. Barring unforseen circumstances I predict we will have dinner together every day." he smiled. "And breakfast, and lunch if we can." He paused. "I will need to see Lily today... she is helping me with recovery, though I will never walk without support again. She is helping me with pain management."

T'seng nodded, "Ah Lily she is a good person. There is a librarian here on the ship that can oversee my education. Jasmine had spoken to me about it, said would be good for me to gain the knowledge from the Librarian."

"Yes, she is," Sekat agreed, not in the slightest inclined to get up at all, "and I agree, who better to assist than a librarian? Or perhaps the science chief?" He gave her a supportive smile. "Or really anyone on this vessel. I have no doubt everyone you ask is willing to help you catch up. As far as lost time goes, someone to speak to perhaps, is Crewman Stef. He spent five years on a planet, where only mere minutes passed for us. Not quite the same, but surely comparable?"

"I shall make certain to speak with him, would be a good idea." T'seng giving a nod. "So much to catch up on but, one thing that I have now is you, and our togetherness. Shall we partake of some nourishment as I feel my appetite making itself known."

T'seng rose from the bed, to put on a robe, deciding to work on some breakfast for herself and Sekat. "I do wish my grandfather could meet you. I think you and he would get along quite nicely."

Finally rising as well and getting himself dressed, Sekat joined her in the living area. "I have no doubt," he agreed, "but for now, our first stop really should be the captain."

"Most definitely, how about after breakfast and we can begin the day on that note." T'seng replied. Still so much to do and definitely she hoped she'd be having some help as well.

"That is acceptable." He sat down at the table, watching her. "Tomorrow, I will see to breakfast," he added, "unless you prefer to, then I shall be responsible for dinner instead."

T'seng smiled, "We can figure that out, as we continue on this path. Which would be more logical for you?" bringing over the plates of food she had just gotten done with.

"I have no preference as long as we share the meal duties ," he smiled, gratefully accepting the plate. "I am usually up early, and home early. That would give me sufficient time to be responsible for dinner. What would be your preference? I can adjust my shift to accommodate our needs "

T'seng gave another smile, "What you decide to make, I'm eager to learn what you can cook. All a part of discovery isn't it? Yes you making dinner would be feasible to me." she sat down at the table and began to eat. Between mouthful she gazed at Sekat, then she remarked, "I wonder if the Captain will be surprised at our coupling."

"I do not know." It was the honest answer. "I do not know the captain well enough to hazard that guess. If it is of any help....I was surprised at our coupling. I never dreamed of finding someone again, someone who would make me whole. I never held any hope again, until I found you." He smiled lovingly at her, a gesture only shown in private. "Or was it you, who found me?"

"We found each other, being drawn together as if the cosmos decided it was time." a twinkle in her eyes, T'seng reaching out to caress her beloved's cheek. "After we have eaten, let us go see the captain before we take up our duties for the day. This important and it is also protocol."

Sekat nodded, visibly enjoying the caress. "Important protocol," he added, "I do not know if any other formalization is required. I am only familiar with Vulcan ritual. Do you have any desire to ah...have a gathering? Perhaps your friends from the station?"

T'seng shook her head. "I've not truly gotten into the gatherings, that other beings tend to have. Our union is sufficiently celebrated between us, all that is needed is to let the captain know. As for those from the station, we could just visit them and let them know to inform them. They would be pleased."

Sekat nodded again. "So it shall be," he smiled. "When would you like to see the captain? Now, or after shift?"

"Let us take care of it now. Then we can be free to go about our duties." T'seng responded. "Once we have our breakfast first though." giving a nod.

==Ready Room==

Elijah lifted up his head from reading through some paper work calling out Enter, when he heard the chime, letting him know someone was there.

His door opened and he stood up when he saw T'seng enter and followed by, Sekat.

"Its nice to see you both, please have a seat. I had planned on contacting you, Lieutenant Sekat."

T'seng raised an eyebrow at what the captain said, but sat down in one of the seats, that was there.

"You did?" The Vulcan doctor raised an eyebrow in evident of surprise as he claimed the other seat. "We were actually hoping to share some news with you..." He looked sideways to T'seng, then back at Elijah. "I am certain you learned we have connected and.." He hesitated, which a very un-Vulcan thing to do, even for him. "I have asked her to move in with me." He would let her break the other news, if she wished to do so, not wanting to claim all of the captain's attention for himself.

"I had not heard of this as of yet. Congratulations are in order, and you have my permission for this to happen." Elijah said, giving a smile. "I will be certain to put that down in the records."

T'seng didn't have anything to add this discourse. The captain approved and that was fine with her. She was curious as to the previous statement the Captain had made.

"Captain, you had stated you were glad Sekat was here? Why is that?" raising an eyebrow. T'seng queried.

"Oh yes, Commander Sommers had turned in his resignation. He will no longer be the Chief Medical Officer. So, after speaking with Doctor Marlow, Lieutenant Sekat, if you choose to accept this role, I'd like you to be the CMO of the USS Majestic." Elijah said with a slight smile.

"I am honoured captain," Sekat answered humbly, "I have held this position before, and I am capable." He gave a quiet nod, remembering when and why he had given up the position. Though he was still not fast on his feet, and never again would be, he did feel he was yet again ready for the job. "I accept," he answered after a few seconds of silent musings. "Did he say why he resigned? I did not know him very well, but he was quite capable and driven..."

"I will say this, it has to do with family." Captain Rutherford answered, "I feel though his decision was a good and wise one. That being said, Congratulations on the two of you and we'll be getting back into a maybe normal grind of exploration and also getting our current visitors back to where they belong, the holo sentience beings."

T'seng nodded her features brightening up. "We have a location of where they will be going?"

"Not as of yet, I am confident that we will have where we will be going next very soon." Elijah giving a nod and leaning back in his chair.

"Oh good, which reminds me I need to see them to give them the good news." T'seng commented.

"Family is a good motivator," Sekat agreed, then smiled as he sensed his mate's happiness. "Do you wish for me to go with you? Otherwise I should head to sickbay."

"Well why don't you come with me to see them, and we can let the Captain get back to taking care of the ship." T'seng replying. "If that is okay with you sir." looking at Elijah.

"It is okay with me, go ahead and speak with those you've been close with, as they indeed have been your family for quite sometime." Elijah giving a nod and a smile.

"And your family is now my family as well," Sekat pointed out, "equally so, my family now is yours."

"And I am glad of that." T'seng replied. She rose to her feet, "Let's go see our family then." with that she held out her hand towards Sekat, not to give him help to get up from the chair but just cause she can hold his hand. She still had that need to have the contact, due to her long time in being in stasis.

Without pause, he allowed her hand to slip into his as he rose, and reached for his cane with the other hand, using it to push himself to his feet. He squeezed her hand lightly as encouragement and offered a smile. "Thank you for your time captain," he added before turning back to his wife. "Time to meet our family," he agreed, his smile softening as they left.
