"Whoa," Patrick breathed as a cloud of steam met them when the doors opened once again before them. "Wow such heat," he marveled as he pulled his partner inside. As the clouds seemed to pull up, Patrick's hand flew up to his mouth, his eyes widening. "Oh my," he breathed as he gestured between them at their -almost- naked forms.

"Bit of a presumptuous program huh," he grinned sheepishly. "Where do you want to go first?"

"Well, you're not really supposed to wear clothes in a sauna, I don't think," Murphy smirked as he double checked his towel was secure. Not that it really mattered, they seemed to be the only ones in the large, stone-lined spa that stretched out before them into various sections of steam rooms and warm mineral pools. The stone floor was warm under their feet as they stepped along. "Steam room, definitely, I think..." he finally answered, pointing out a small alcove that looked to be carved out of a cliff-face behind a hot springs waterfall.

One arm linked through Murph's, Patrick held on to his towel with his other hand as if afraid he might lose it along the way. After a few steps, he seemed to reconsider when he too realised they were pretty alone here. "It's gorgeous here," he marveled as they approached the waterfall. "And I guess keeping the towel dry isn't going to be much of an option is it," he chuckled as he held out his hand and let the warm water cascade along his fingers. "You know, I've never been in a steam room before, at least not that I recall."

"How is that possible?" Murph asked rhetorically with a smirk as he walked over to one of the benches and sat down. Perspiration was already apparent on his glistening skin. "We had these salt caves on Boradis where they discovered a natural hot spring and built this incredible facility into. I was pretty young, last time I was there... but it reminds me of this place. So relaxing. Just let your cares sweat away."

"Is that the one you said you were going to take me to sometime? It wasn't that clear water, sparkling cave was it?" Patrick leaned back, closing his eyes, before shifting to lean against his partner. "Sweat your cares away indeed," he smiled, "and a few pounds huh..." The younger man grinned. "Not that we need any of that, but it does feel good."

Time passed quickly in the billowing steamy room and eventually Murph nudged his partner. "Hey, you want to cool off in the pool?"

"Hm-mm do we have to?" came the somewhat drowsy response. Patrick sat up, feeling particularly sticky where he'd leaned against Murph's shoulder. He stood carefully, finding his towel completely soaked. "Told you it wouldn't stay dry," he laughed, "where's the pool? Wanna race to it?"

"No, I don't want to race," Murphy laughed and stood up as well. "In fact, I want this day to go by slowly that it never ends." He leaned in slowly and kissed Patrick on the lips.

"Hmmm..." Patrick leaned in to the kiss, reaching to touch the man's cheek with a very sweaty hand. "I don't want this day to end either, but this is very hot and we do need to cool down before we faint." He smiled, opening his eyes to look at the man he loved. "I do very much like having this time alone with you."

"A little taste of what he's like when we someday settle down, maybe?" Murph grinned and led Patrick by the hand out of the sauna area and toward the slightly cooler pool area.

The pool was outside of the sauna alcove, but was not far away. Murph stepped down onto the first step leading into the small bathing pool and cast his towel aside before descending all the way in.

Smiling, Patrick followed suit while definitely enjoying the view. He shivered as he lowered himself into the water, feeling his skin turn to goosebumps. "Ohhhh this is cold," he complained before completely submerging himself. Still shivering, he surfaced. "Is it supposed to be this frigid?" he asked, wrapping his arms around himself.

"Is it that cold? Or just feel cold because you just came from a 60 degree sauna to a cool pool?" Murphy asked with a smirk. He walked around in the shallow end a bit. "It's a program. Let's just have it adjusted. Computer," he called out, "we need a warm water pool."

Patrick smiled, burrowing against his partner as he felt the water warm up. "Where would I be without you," he mused, "I wouldn't even have thought of that you know. You're a genius. So, what are we going to do when we're done with this program? Not that I'm done with it yet, of course. I could spend all day in a pool with you. But you know, eventually we do have to eat, and somehow I doubt you're going to allow me to cook dinner while on vacation..."

T'gorr, the mighty and imposing recreation of a Klingon appeared in front of the two men. He glowered at the embracing couple and in a stereotypical portrayal of a raucous Klingon he pointed at the bearded one of the pair and boomed with a deep laugh. Looking to the second man, he gave the laughter a brief respite to shout "you should visit the lava caves of the city of K'vij, the men there are more..." he eyeballed the first man up and down again, his gleaming eyes matching a toothy smile; antagonistic to some, but a non-threatening display of humour for anyone who understood Klingons, "...impressive" he finished, the grin widening before evolving into a deep belly laugh again. "Come!" he boomed, "you want food!".

"Whoa!" Patrick exclaimed as the hologram suddenly appeared, cheeks reddening despite it being a hologram that watched them. "What the..." he muttered as he looked to Murph. "I'm not going to dinner in a towel...even if it's just us here. That hologram just appearing is just... unnerving."

T'gorr stopped laughing and stared intently at the human who had spoken; Chef Patrick O'Malley. How ungrateful once again thought the hologram as it mulled over ethical and behavioural subroutines for a second; for the Starbase AI to have gone to the trouble of creating such interesting characters that matched the cultural database of the Majestic...and yet the characters were so consistently shunned. The Klingon slapped Chef O'Malley on the back and returned to his standard behavioural output parameters, resuming a deep laugh he looked to the other human; "and such lack of mettle is attractive to you?!" he asked, again followed by a deep booming laugh.

Patrick lost his balance, having just stood up in the pool when the Klingon hologram slapped him on the back. Water splashed as he flailed his arms, grabbing the holograms arm in reflex to keep himself on his feet. "I'm not lacking anything," he grumbled, "just something to wear for dinner." This wasn't the nude resort on Mardra, and he wanted a fancy dinner with his beloved. And fancy meant fancy dress, right?

"I think that's quite enough," Murphy said, eyebrows knitting at the unusual treatment -- at least unusual in the context of a relaxing spa day, not necessarily for a Klingon. "We'll take our clothing and find lunch elsewhere."

The hologram glared at the pair, something within him not entirely simulated bubbled up into an anger; "You two would turn your backs and show such dishonour as to walk away from a Klingon warrior?" he challenged, aggressively.

Patrick rose from the pool, joining Murph as they got out. "Yes. Especially when you keep insulting us," he said, "and you're no warrior, you're a compilation of light and programming."

T'gorr bared his teeth and growled at the pair of ignorant, lowlife humans; "P'taq!" he snarled, placing one hand on his D'ktagh hilt...

"Computer, end program," Murphy said easily, growing weary of the klingon's theatrics.

Turning his back towards the hologram, in the assumption it would disappear, Patrick gave his partner an apologetic look. "I'm sorry this program was a fiasco," he said, "let's go up to one of the restaurants and get some lunch."

T'gorr rose to his full height and advanced rapidly, flinging the man with his back turned away with ease, he rose his dominant arm, dagger in hand, to bring it crashing down on the other's torso...

"Murph! Patrick cried out as he was flung away, watching in helpless horror as his partner was about to be stabbed.

The short blade drove into Murphy's chest and the man just stood there, as though shocked that the hologram was still present and that it had attacked him. As he touched his fingers into the blood that begun to seep from the wound, the fact that the situation was much more real than he thought possible dawned on him as he fought to catch his breath. He dropped to his knees and reached for a commbadge that wasn't there.

Patrick scrambled to his feet, almost tripping as he rushed to Murph's side, cradling him in his arms. "Don't die," he pleaded, running his fingers through the man's ginger hair, "please don't die Angus.... Don't leave me." He was no medic, he had no idea how bad it was, and he didn't dare touch the dagger. "Tell me what to do."

-----------------

Glowbug on his solo mission flew rapidly towards an area where two individuals were at. A Klingon standing near two men. A redheaded man was down on the ground with another man holding him close, sobbing.

The Klingon that was near, Glowbug charged him, his abdomen glowing rather brightly as he hurtled towards the Klingon. He hit with the glowing end, the Klingon disappearing. The firefly hovered near Patrick and Murphy the abdomen blinking, as if waiting for something.

The arrival of the glowing bug did not go unseen by Murph and he wanted to respond, but felt consciousness slipping from his grasp like sand through his fingers. And everything went dark.
