As the two women stepped out from sickbay, Lily spoke. "Where would be a good place to carry on our conversation? Would you like to have tea and chat in my other office where I do acupressure, or we can go to my quarters, or even go to Ten Forward."

"Ten Forward," T'Par suggested.

"Ten Forward it it!" Lily responded, as they headed for the turbolift. When they arrived, Lily looked around, "Where shall we sit? Near the window?"

"That would be acceptable," T'Par said with her usual dispassion as she walked towards a table near the window with the doctor. "I find the view...serene."

Lily smiled, "I agree, it is serene. " walking over in that direction. Taking a seat she looked out at the stars which were moving by, "It is peaceful, and calm." then turned back to T'Par. "Something I am feeling a lack of in some aspect. Serenity, calmness."

T'Par joined her, settling in comfortably. "Have you tried meditation?"

"I have, but lately I've not been able to achieve any results. I had discovered something rather disturbing that had been hidden from my conscious mind. Someone had done something to hide the fact that a friend of mine was alive. I believe someone had tampered with my memories a long while back." Lily replied. then took a sip of her tea.

"A telepath of some kind?" T'Par inquired.

"Probably, and its a mystery I need to get solved. I don't like the fact that someone messed with my mind. It may have something to do with the fact..."Lily said the last part rather quietly, "My friend's fiance' was in intelligence, and from what I have gathered from the memories uncovered they faked their deaths."

"That is a particularly dangerous situation," T'Par conceded. "Still, regular Starfleet Intelligence is not supposed to directly attack someone's mind like that without permission. When I was an intelligence officer, I sometimes heard rumors of rogue operations, theoretically illegal but the admiralty sometimes turned a blind eye if the results were useful."

Lily nodded, "It just give me the chills." giving a shudder. " I want to know what happened to my friend. I don't care what happened to her fiance' though. As I am actually angry at this new found information. " she took a drink of tea, to focus on something else like not spilling the tea on herself.

Then Lily looked up at T'Par. "I didn't realize that you had been in Intelligence." she said quietly.

"I was," T'Par said. "I was intelligence officer for this ship before transferring to science. I do have some contacts if you would like to look into it."

"I believe that it is very necessary to find out what is going on. And there maybe another person I need to speak to as well. Commander Sommers, might have some ideas as what to do as well. Also I want to know who had the audacity to play with my mind. " Lily stated.

"He also might be able to help," T'Par agreed. "You should be aware there are risks associated with such an inquiry."

"I am aware of the risks. I think I have already experienced some of the consequences." Lily frowned. "I just want answers as to why it happened and why it was done to me, and what happened to my friend." taking another sip of her tea and placing the cup down sort of sharply, it clicking on the table.

"I will make inquiries," she promised.

"Thank you, I feel relieved about that." Lily stated, with a smile and picked up her cup of tea once more. This time leaning back to relax and enjoy it.
