Padd's spread across his desk as Elijah went through them, catching up on paperwork that was there. Giving a bit of a sigh, he leaned back in his chair with his eyes closed for a moment, his eyes flashed open realizing that he had something to take care of, and hit his combadge.

"Lieutenant Shalakar would you come to my ready room please. Captain Rutherford out."

The return answer was quick in response. Of course Captain, I'll be there in about fifteen minutes.

The chime at the ready room door was prompt and on time. S'anra waited for a response to enter and wondered what she was being summoned to the Captains ready room for, she was indeed curious about the captain wished to speak to her about.

The door opened and allowed her entrance, Elijah had a bit of a smile on his face. He rose from his chair behind the desk. "Thank you for arriving so promptly." he greeted her. "Please have a seat."

S'anra smiled and sat down and crossed her legs to make herself comfortable. " So what may I do to assist you Captain? You've never just called me out of the blue for no reason. " She paused briefly and gave a slight smirk. " Well, even if you did call for no other reason then to bend my ear a bit, I'd still come, because that's what friends do. "

"Oh I do have a reason for calling you in, I wanted to thank you for all the help you have provided to the ship and the intelligence mission you were on. Also, I have something for you. I lovely addition to your collar." him reaching in his pocket then bringing out a box to hand to S'anra. "Here you go, Lieutenant Shalakar." giving a rather self-satisfied smile.

" Wait...What? " S'anra blinked her eyes several times as what the Captain had just said. " Really? " she said excitedly. " I've only done what anyone else would have in the same situation, But thank you so very much! I shall continue to do my job and try my best to exceed expectations and carry out my duties to the fullest. " She stated as she looked into a mirror and placed her new pip on the collar and placed the older pip into the box.

Elijah chuckled, "You have certainly earned this. Now then, how are things with you on the ship? Have you been able to settle in? Also would you like to have some tea while we talk?"

" I have settled in quite well thank you Captain for asking. I have also made several new friends while I've been here. As for having tea, I would love some. I have never turned down a kind offer for tea and conversation, but you also state we have other things to talk about, I am curious now. " She said with a friendly smile.

"Well now, I had received a message from Rashad who wished to contact you. Of course, due to the nature of the away mission, exchanging personal information wouldn't have been good. Therefore he approached me. I do believe he may want to go out for dinner with you. That is, if you are so inclined." giving an impish smile.

S'anra took the contact information and looked at it. " Hmmm... Perhaps it is a thank you for the assistance for the help in the away mission. " She said, with a hint of curiosity in her voice. " I guess it wouldn't hurt to talk to him and see what's up with this invitation. "

"Indeed, there is a way to get in touch with him. Here is his message board contact. And once again, congratulations. I'll let you go so you can talk to Rashad and find out what he is wanting. You are dismissed Lieutenant." giving a bit of a grin.

" Thank you for your faith in me Captain, I shall do my best to be a credit to this ship. And thank you for the tea as well, it was lovely. " She stood up and returned the cup and saucer to the recycler. I am curious so I think I'll leave a message on the board and see what Mr. Rashad would like to talk about. " With that said she turned and walked to the door..
