Welcome to the USS Majestic!

Welcome to the USS Majestic!

The USS Majestic is a Majestic Class starship proudly serving in Obsidian Fleet's 72A Task Group in the year 2396. If you’re looking for the newest, fanciest, fastest ship in the fleet . . . you’ve come to the wrong place. Our ship has been around the block a few times, much like the people who fly her. Having undergone a recent refit she’s once again ready to explore the universe and we’d like you to come along! Join us as we explore the expanding universe and the depths of our own souls.

Captain Jane Saulitis
Commanding Officer
USS Majestic

"Within all of us is a varying amount of space lint and star dust, the residue from our creation. Most are too busy to notice it, and it is stronger in some than others. It is strongest in those of us who fly and is responsible for an unconscious, subtle desire to slip into some wings and try for the elusive boundaries of our origin." — K O Eckland

USS Majestic February 2020

Sim Updates
No new updates to website or awards.

Crew Updates
We have three new crew members this month! Ensign Sempton, Ensign O'Sullivan and Mr. Barr! The three are taking up Alien anthropologist/Archeologist, Flight Control and Mission Advisor. We're so happy to have them.

Story Elements
We're revving up the start of this mission. Takeoff has been a little slow but we are finally ready to leave Starbase 50 on our way to Soxon II for the wedding of an emperor and a princess. And . . . our ten year old Creoli guest is driving the ship! Hope she doesn't crash us.

It's a bit odd but our new Mr. Barr and the Princess seem to have disappeared on board and Captain Saulitis is going to have a headache every morning for the foreseeable future as this plot unfolds.

USS Majestic- January Report

Sim Updates:
Nothing new on the website.  It's working great and looks pretty.  Can't ask more of it than that!

Crew Updates
So we gained a new Chief Diplomatic Officer and then promptly lost them again after they broke off contact and didn't answer messages.  So that leaves us at the same level of crew we were last month.
On the bright side of things, since they have departed we are now able to promote our Diplomatic Officer to the position.  Congrats Ms. Reed!
Story Elements
We are just beginning our mission.  Ambassador Vayr's daughter Min (from our first mission) is on board to visit her godfather, our second officer Commander Murphy. Princess Leyana whom we are escorting to Sozon II will join us shortly and we will leave Starbase 50 to make a short trip there . . . . . but of course whether we get there or not is the question.

USS Majestic- December Report

Sim Updates:

Nothing to report as far as the website goes.  The new skin is great and is up and running.  No changes have been made recently.

Crew Updates
We lost our Chief counselor due to inactivity (for the second time).  We gained no one.  Our Chief Flight Control officer graciously agreed to become our new XO as our old one stepped down into a different and more personalized role for him.  We're super excited about these future characters in our sim!

Story Elements
The Majestic is currently docked at Starbase 50 for some R&R.  While there they will pick up their new XO, an old friend in the form of deceased Ambassador Vayr's daughter Minvayr (known as Min) and a special guest which the ship will be ferrying to her wedding on Sozon II.  But what's life without a little conflict?  Captain Saulitis doesn't agree with the wedding arrangements and thinks the bride is giving up her innocence unnecessarily in order to end a decades long war.  They'll have a lot of time to debate amongst themselves the consequences of letting the wedding continue or interrupting the proceedings when the Majestic encounters something it doesn't expect.

Other Information:
This was a better month than last despite the holidays.  Being docked at Starbase 50 and offering up a bit of shenanigans always gets the creative juices flowing. Can't wait to start the new mission in January!

USS Majestic- November Report

Sim Updates:
We have a new dark skin. Hazzah! It's so pretty and has the banner that our Lt. Sullivan designed as well. We actually have one more dark skin being worked on to give people some options. just figured that after a year we should have a bit of a change up.

Crew Updates
We lost no one and gained Lieutenant Laural Hawke as Encryption Specialist . Chief Intelligence officer was promoted to Lieutenant.

Story Elements
We are just finishing our story about negotiations with the Claddin Empire. The crew of the Majestic ran into a little snafu in that area but managed to avoid an international incident. Also, they are much closer to discovering the secret of the injuries and odd behavior everyone has been experiencing. I've opened up shoreleave as we are visiting Starbase Poseidon for yet another wedding.

Other Information:
I'm actually thinking about having a contest to design a logo for us to use as the image on our discord and could be included on our website. Not sure if anyone is interested but it's a thought and something I would like to have done at some point. I'm not a graphic designer at all.

Statistics: Bit of a slower month but we're just getting back into the swing of things after some real life drama on my part:

Douglas sighed as he hefted the carry bag and climbed awkwardly into the Jeffries tube. Deck 12 was relatively empty on third shift luckily, so no one saw the inelegant mess of legs that mangled it’s way into the tight tube. Douglas winced as his pack bounced off of the…
